Assalamualaikum, here I am again spending few minutes to write before I finally hit the sack. I am just actually listening to few songs on my playlist and somehow I felt like listening to Kucaimars' song so I tuned on to Youtube. And from there suddenly I got the idea to list out my all time favourite OSTs from all the dramas and movies I have watched. So yeah, let us waste no time and get things started!
1) Surga Yang Kurindukan - Laudya Cynthia Bella & Wafda
From Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan 2
This song hits differently because LCB sang it. Just like what Melly Goeslaw said, LCB might not be the best singer who can carry the song, but she is the one who fits it perfectly. She's the female lead of the movie and at the same time she sang the OST so it kinda make the whole thing become more meaningful and touchy. The lyrics, the melody, it brings me back the memories from the movie. As always, MG never disappoints to produce such a great song.
2) Sky - Super Junior KRY
From To The Beautiful You
When we talk about this trio, the best vocal line from Suju, get ready to get your ears blessed by the time you hear them sing. This song is quite special to me cause it gives me strength whenever I feel down. Yesung's way of delivering any songs especially OST is perfecto. I'm sure you'll love the song.
3) Stand by Me - SHINee
From Boys Over Flowers
You guys are too young if you haven't watched Boys Over Flowers before. Everytime I listen to this song, my mind automatically recall the scene where Junpyo brought Jandi to an island by an airplane XD This is a happy song about someone who is falling in love and willing to confess.
4) Dalam Kenangan - Krisdayanti
Fron Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan 2
Krisdayanti is a vocal queen so let us not talk about her vocal. This song is about farewell. How someone who is dying tells to his/her loved one that life shall be continued even though he/she is not around. Lagu ni 10 kali dengar, 10 kali nangis. Sendu teruk.
5) White Rain - Stella Jang feat. Hangzoo
From Partners for Justice S1
I think this is my first time listening to the singers' names and song. The melody of this song definitely suits the mood of the drama. I still remember they use this song during this one scene between Dr. Baek and his brain dead girlfriend. And it is really sad. Full of melancholy even from the start. I love listening to this song especially on rainy days. Just like the title, rain just makes the song more emotional than ever.
